Coleg Penfro, Hwlffordd

9.30 – 15.30

Methu ffeindio rhagor o fanylion arlein hyd yn hyn. Cysylltwch â’r Ganolfan CiO yn Abertawe?

Top tip gan Maia, o’r dosbarthiadau yn Aberteifi:

Sneb arall sy’n wneud hyn, ond: un peth gwych am y cwrs ‘ma yw eu bod nhw’n cynnal cantîn. Cewch chi ginio poeth neu salad am lai na dwybunt! Mae’n anhygoel. Lle neis i’w fwyta hefyd.

Can’t find any more details online yet. Contact the WfA Centre in Swansea?

Top tip from Maia, in two of our Cardigan classes:

Nobody else ever does this, but: one great feature of courses there is they run the canteen. You can get a great hot dinner or salad for about two quid! It’s amazing. Nice place to eat it too.

Côd post Plas Pantsaeson yw SA43 3BH, ond sylwch y gall y côd fod yn gywir i sawl tŷ / fferm yn yr ardal. Mae Plas Pantsaeson ar lôn breifat, hir, felly nid yw’r côd post yn cyfeirio at union fan cychwyn ein taith, sy ar y ffordd wrth y fynedfa i’r lôn.

Map:  http://goo.gl/maps/aG7nV

Y daith: Tua 2 awr. Byddwn yn clywed ychydig o hanes y Plas, yna ymlaen heibio i Dŷ’r Ardd, Gilfach a mas i’r ffordd fawr sy’n arwain o Drewyddel i Poppit/Llandudoch.  Bydd y rhan o Drewyddel yn ôl am Landudoch at ein ceir ar hyd y ffordd.

Cerddwyr Cylch Teifi Walkers 12/4/14

Pantsaeson area, near St. Dogmaels

Leaders: Esther Davies and Llinos Devonald

Meet at 10.30 on the road by the lane to Plas Pantsaeson to the south west of St.Dogmaels (SN145 450). There’s room to park here and also past the crossroads, but please share lifts to get there if you can. Take the A487 from Cardigan for Croft, turn to the right there (sign to ‘Moylegrove’) heading for the Waunwhiod crossroads (about 1.75 miles), and park here.

The post code of Plas Pantsaeson is SA43 3BH, but please note that the code could be correct for several houses / farms in the area. Plas Pantsaeson is on a long private lane, so the post code doesn’t refer to the exact starting place of our walk, which is on the road at the entrance to the lane.

  Map:  http://goo.gl/maps/aG7nV

The walk: About 2 hours. We’ll hear a bit about the history of the Mansion, and then on past Tŷ’r Ardd, Gilfach and out to the main road which leads from Moylegrove to Poppit / St. Dogmaels. The part from Moylegrove towards St. Dogmaels to our cars is on the road.

After the walk: It will be possible to have refreshments in the Ferry Inn for those who wish.

A warm welcome to all. Welsh will be the language of the walk, so if you are beginning to learn you may not be able to follow much of what is said but it is an ideal opportunity to use all the Welsh you have learned and you can ask others to give you the gist – but please try to avoid using ‘English-only’ in any conversation. Diolch.

Gwyrain

Diolch i Pete Edwards, Rhydlewis am ei ymateb i “Llun yr Wythnos” yn y cylchlythyr.

Gwyrain neu “Goose Barnacles” ydyn nhw. Yn y canol oesoedd roedd pobl yn gredu bod “gwyddau gwyran” [barnacle geese] yn eu dodi nhw!

Maen nhw’n dod dros y môr o Ogledd Sbaen ynglwm i ddarnau o bren weithiau. Maen nhw’n cael eu hystyried fel danteithfwyd go iawn yn Sbaen a drud iawn ydyn nhw yn y bwytai yno.

Yn Galicia mae dynion ifanc yn yr ardal yn cymryd risgiau enfawr i’w casglu nhw ac i brofi eu hunan fel “boyos go iawn”.

Ten of Wales’ finest traditional singers and musicians star in this special performance that explores and celebrates the roots and heritage of folk music in Wales, the influences and relationships that have kept it alive, and the geography, language and culture of a musical nation. Illustrating how traditional music evolves through being shared and played, the chain is a sequence of interlinking solos and duets, combining a variety of instruments and musical styles, and creating unique interpretations and combinations of Welsh music.

Whether you’re new to Welsh folk, or an established fan, you can enjoy a fabulous experience in the company of who’s who of the nation’s traditional artists – Gwyneth Glyn (Ghazalaw), Robert Evans (Bragod, Pwngk), Delyth Jenkins (DnA, Aberjabber), Dylan Fowler (Taith, Alaw), Gwilym Bowen Rhys (Y Bandana, Plu), Gwenan Gibbard, Jamie Smith (Mabon, Alaw, Barrule), Patrick Rimes (Calan), Stephen Rees (Ar Log, Crasdant, Triawd) and Beth Williams-Jones (Calan).
