Cerddwyr Cylch Teifi Walkers: 13 October 2018

St Dogmaels Area – Leader: Terwyn Tomos

We’ll leave the St Dogmaels village car park (charge) (SN165 460) (Postcode SA43 3ED) at 10:30.

The walk: A circular walk of about two miles and less than two hours walking; we’ll go over to the church and abbey, up Cwm Degwel, along the Pencwm path and across fields to Cwmins; then we’ll zig-zag back to the abbey.

Ascent: 300ft. Stiles: none. Some mud in wet weather

Points of Interest: The history of St Dogmaels’ churches over the centuries (there have been at least 4); the new stained glass window; the abbey, its history and its various parts; walk through the middle of the site of the 1994 landslide and see some of the effects.
