Wedyn: Bydd cyfle i gael lluniaeth o’ch dewis yn Nhafarn Sinc yn Rosebush wedi’r daith.

Croeso cynnes i bawb. Cofiwch fod dysgwyr yn dod i gerdded gyda’r grŵp er mwyn cael cyfle i sgwrsio â Chymry lleol. Da chi, agorwch sgwrs â nhw pan allwch.

Cerddwyr Cylch Teifi Walkers

10th June 2017

Preseli area

Leader: Dafydd Davies

Starting Place: Dan y Garn (SN127 307), about 1km to the West of the Waldo memorial stone on the road between Mynachlog-ddu and Rosebush.  Please come in good time to start the walk at 10.30

Map: tinyurl.com/danygarn

(Use + and – to change the scale of the map)

Parking: On the grassy verge at the side of the road, but for those who prefer a more definite parking place, there’ll be transport available to the starting place from the carpark at the Waldo memorial stone at 10.15

The Walk: A circular two hour walk (or a little longer), about 3 miles. We’ll climb slowly up to the flatter land between Carn Siân and Foel Feddau, then up to Carn Bica and back across the heathland past Carn Siân and down the fairly steep slope to the starting place. An energetic mountain walk which is wet and boggy underfoot in places. Ascent: 500 feet; no stiles; strong waterproof boots and suitable clothing will be needed in case of wet and cold weather – even in the summer!

Points of interest:  The history of the area; its connection to Waldo and another poet, W R Evans; great views from the mountain top in fair weather.

Afterwards: It will be possible to get refreshments of your choice from the Tafarn Sinc in Rosebush after the walk.

A warm welcome to all. Welsh will be the language of the walk, so if you are beginning to learn you may not be able to follow much of what is said but it is an ideal opportunity to use all the Welsh you have learned and you can ask others to give you the gist – but please try to avoid using ‘English-only’ in any conversation.
